Nathan Orsi

We would like to ask everyone to keep Nathan Orsi in their prayers
as he recovers from a fall during the Pole Climb.

He is being operated on for an L2 spinal injury. We are all hoping for a quick recovery.
Wednesday 9-5 report: Doctors say operation was a success...
Nathan should be up and walking this week and back to work within 6 months.

Nathan is a member of the Fort Bragg Volunteer Fire Department.
(He was awarded the 2007 Firefigher of the Year and was one of Paul Bunyan Days Local Heroes)
The department is putting on a benefit dinner to raise money to help Nathan.
The dinner will be 4 pm, Sunday, September 30th... please come cheer him on!

This year will mark the 68th year of celebrating Paul Bunyan Days here on the north coast. Over the years our Labor Day weekends have been described as “old time small town fun” to “ lumber-jack rowdy... but, always a good time, with a nod to our logging heritage. As we look toward a new/old vision of sustainable forest management with jobs forever, we celebrate both the skill of those who came before us and the promise of tomorrow.
